Prepaid and Postpaid: What to Compare
Prepaid and Postpaid: What to Compare

Look at the payment schedule
For a prepaid plan, examine how much service you buy before using it and when it renews. For a postpaid plan, examine the billing cycle and recurring charges. The billing label alone does not settle taxes, credit requirements, cancellation terms or device payments.
Check renewal and device costs
A discounted first period may differ from later periods. A handset payment agreement can also continue separately from the service plan. Write down the service price, required term and device balance as separate figures.
Compare the actual allowance
Review high-speed data, hotspot limits and roaming conditions. Choose using the facts for the exact plan and number of lines. A carrier’s network name or a prepaid/postpaid badge does not establish performance at your address.
